African champions, Nigeria’s D’Tigress, have been drawn in Group B with Australia, Argentina and Turkey for the 2018 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup holding in Spain.
The draw which was held on Tuesday on the island of Tenerife, was confirmed on FIBA’s Twitter handle.
D’Tigress emerged champions at the 2017 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket in Bamako, Mali where they defeated Senegal in the final to claim the title.
The 3-time African champions will come up against an Australian side who were the World champions in 2006 and have finished in 3rd position on 3 occasions.
Turkey will be making their 2nd appearance while Argentina are going to the World Cup for the 9th time.
