Kwara state Governor, AbdulFatah Ahmed says the state will enforce local content law to empower artisans and boost local economy.
The governor made the stated this when he received the executive of Kwara state artisans Congress led by its president Sa’ad Alawaye at government house, Ilorin.
Ahmed said it is mandatory to patronise artisans by carrying out the provisions of the law to the letter as a form of empowerment to entrepreneurs in the state.
He charged members of the association to maintain an accurate data base of members to assist the government in its various intervention schemes to the associations.
Ahmed assured the association that government will continue to patronise and support it as a key driver of the state’s economy.
