Nigerians have continued to react following the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government.
A Senator representing Anambra Central in the National Assembly Uche Ekwunife has appealed to Nigerians to be patient with government over the removal of petrol subsidy.
She made made the call after a town hall meeting in Anambra constituency in Awka where she also urged the government to put measures in place to mitigate the effect on citizens.
Speaking to Journalists after the townhall meeting, she emphasised that all the Presidential candidates said they were going to remove fuel subsidy immediately.
“I support the removal of fuel subsidy but the president must look into the minimum wage.
“The minimum wage must be increased, it must be enhanced as a matter of urgency for civil servants and other public officers to meet up with the
challenges.
