The Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN, has launched investigation into the disappearance from the 2018 Commonwealth Games camp of national 400 metres champion, Emmanuel Bamidele.
Bamidele ran the world leading time of 45.28 seconds to win the 400 metres event of the national trial held in Abuja two weeks ago.
He’s a member of the 37-man track and field team named to prepare to represent Nigeria at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.

Reports suggest that he may have been lured away by oil-rich nation, Qatar.
