Governor of Oyo state Seyi Makinde, has named the 8.3 kilometres Phase II Idi-Ape/Akobo-Olorunda Abaa road in Ibadan after a former governor of Rivers state Nyesom Wike.
The governor made the declaration at the flag-off of the dualization of the road.
Speaking at the event, Makinde said the road will provide relief for motorists and residents, adding it would also be enhance the development of the axis upon completion.
While revealing that a sum of 9.6 billion naira has been budgeted for the completion of the project, he assured residents of the community that would be duly completed in 12 months time.
