Newly formed Action Peoples Party, APP, has promised to pass a law to secure forty percent of all positions in government to Nigerian youths if elected at federal and state levels in 2019. Officers of the APP led by its National Chairman, Ikenga Ugochinyere disclosed this in Abuja at the public presentation of the party where they also promised an economic revolution.
TVC News Senior Correspondent Sumner Sambo reports that the party is canvassing a youth-centered government and economic revolution if voted into power. APP said its major focus will be on national unity and economic growth to boost job creation.
The party promises major reforms in the way government business is conducted.
It hopes to ban import of what can be produced in the country and renegotiate Nigeria’s trade policies with the outside world.
The Action Peoples Party, APP, is among the new political parties registered in December 2017 but which received their certificate of registration two months ago and it has vowed to sack the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC from government.
