The Senate has confirmed three nominees for confirmation as members of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The confirmed nominees are Adeola Adenikinju, Aliyu Sanusi and Robert Asogwa.
But one nominee Asheikh Maidugu was rejected by the senate, because the legislative chamber wasn’t satisfied with his responses to their questions.

The Senate resolution followed a report from the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions.
