Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki of Zurmi North Constituency has been Elected as the Speaker of the 7th Zamfara State House of Assembly.
Mr Bilyaminu is a second term member of the state House of Assembly.
Zurmi local government where the speaker held from is located in Northern Zamfara same as the immediate past Speaker of the 6th Assembly Nasiru Magarya held from.
This is because the state Governor Dauda Lawal is from Gusau, Central Zamfara while the deputy Governor Mani Mumuni is from Bukkuyum Local Government area located in western Zamfara.
The Zamfara state Deputy Governor Manu Mumuni is present at the assembly Complex to represent his principal, Governor Dauda Lawal.

The Speaker of the 7th Zamfara State House of Bilyaminu Ismail representing Zurmi Constituency and the deputy Speaker Adamu Aliyu representing Gummi II emerged unopposed.
Zamfara State House of Assembly has twenty elected members across the fourteen Local Government areas of the state.
