In an effort to broker peace in the areas, where tension is already high, the Edo State Deputy governor, Philip Shaibu, and his counterpart in Ondo state, Agboola Ajayi have met in Akure, the Ondo state capital on the boundary dispute between the two states.
Currently, two very rich agrarian communities in Edo and Ondo States are on the verge of civil unrest.
The meeting was facilitated by the Director-General of National Boundary Commission (NBC) and the Surveyor-General of the Federation.
Edo Deputy Governor stressed that the state is ready to abide by the decision reached to promote peace between the two states.
On his part, Ajayi urged the affected communities to violence and allow peace to reign supreme.
