About 30 armed robbers attacked three commercial banks in Offa, Kwara state Thursday evening, killing at least three Police officers in a shootout.
The robbers were said to have had a free day robbing while the operation lasted.
The Kwara state Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the incident said banks 3 policemen were killed during the operation.

Okasanmi said information is still sketchy as the number of civilians who lost their lives during the operation cannot be ascertained yet.
The last time a robbery incidence of this magnitude occurred in Offa was in December, 2013.
