Trade Unions in Bayelsa have expressed support for the public service reforms in the state. They spoke to journalists after a meeting with Governor Seriake Dickson, where mechanisms of reforms for the workforce were explained.
Members of the Labour Unions were in government house at the invitation of the Bayelsa Governor Seriake Dickson who restated his administration’s commitment to purge the state public service of payroll fraud, overbloated wages, recurring and ghost-worker syndrome that would pave the way for the employment of teeming graduates.
The Nigeria Labour Congress and its Trade Union Counterpart expressed support for the public service reforms.
The Unions are convinced that the reforms will re-engineer the workforce in Bayelsa state.
