The UAE has severely condemned Israeli bombings and gunshots on the Palestinian city of Jenin and its camp, which resulted in deaths and injuries, according to the state-run news agency late Monday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) urged Israeli authorities to avoid actions that would heighten unrest and violence in the Palestinian territories and to prevent escalating the situation.
The ministry emphasized the need to support all local, national, and international initiatives to defuse tensions, advance the revival of the Middle East Peace Process, put an end to illegal activities that jeopardize the two-state solution, and create an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital within the boundaries of 1967.
