As this gap continues to widen, the seemingly poor relationship between political leaders and the citizens is resulting in a lack of synergy, negatively impacting the development and proper interventions of community needs.
Experts here want to reduce this gap by bringing together community members, civil society organizations and lawmakers to equip them with climate lobbying skills in order increase climate justice interventions at the community and federal levels.
This drive is part of efforts by the “African activist for climate justice project”, to ensure that the capacity of activists to build on improving relationships with lawmakers
The aim is to build the political leverage towards improving climate justice in Nigeria and strengthen a community of activists that will drive climate action in communities through lobbying action with policy makers.
