President Bola Tinubu has approved 18billion Naira for the group life assurance benefits and other entitlements for families of fallen soldiers of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
The President announced this approval at the launch of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day emblem and appeal fund that was held inside the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa.
The launch of the emblem to commemorate the Armed forces remembrance day is a sacrosanct national obligation for President Bola Tinubu as President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal republic of Nigeria.
President Tinubu says his administration is committed to the welfare of the Armed forces and has approved 18 billion Naira for the payment of benefits and other entitlements to families of soldiers that were killed in the line of duty.
The Armed forces have also pledged their unending loyalty to the administration of President Bola Tinubu and Nigeria.
They are willing to reciprocate the political will and increased Defence funding by fighting to keep the unity of the country and eliminating all threats to national security.
This armed forces remembrance day is an annual ritual to pay tribute to the sacrifice made by members of the Armed forces during the first and second world war, the Nigerian civil war and in peace keeping missions around the world.
