Operation Safe Haven has promised to leave no stone unturned in its pursuit of the killers of the Fulani traditional ruler in Plateau State’s Mangu Council area.
In line with this, the troops have paraded before journalists, the alleged mastermind of the gruesome murder, arrested in Lagos State following intelligence gathered.
The alleged mastermind of the killing of the leader of the Fulani community in Panyam community of Mangu local government area of Plateau State.
Ardo Adamu Gabdo, the Fulani leader of the Panyam district, was declared missing on September 24th of this year.
The troops of Operation Safe, upon receiving the information, swung into action and launched a manhunt on the mastermind of the act.
The Chief of Army Staff gave marching orders for troops to do all within their power to arrest and bring to justice anyone found involved in the act.
The search and rescue mission lasted for weeks before the remains of the deceased were recovered in a community on the borders of Plateau and Bauchi.
The murder of the monarch was out rightly condemned by the state government as well as stakeholders from the community, who assuredly gave their maximum support to bring anyone involved in the killing to justice.
Intelligence gathered have allegedly identified Phillip Gokas as the mastermind of the killing.
The troops tracked him down to Lagos, where he was arrested and brought back to Plateau State.
The suspect, Philip Gokas while answering a question from a journalist, regretted involving himself in the act.
The commander of Operation Safe Haven thanked the stakeholders and all those who contributed to the success of the mission.
He reaffirmed his mandate of restoring normalcy and peace to all crisis communities in the state.
