Voting has commenced in the Off Cycle Governorship Elections in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo States.
Election materials and Ad-Hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission arrived the various polling units across the Three States early with voters getting accredited and voting simultaneously.
In Bayelsa State, Governor Duoye Diri who is contesting for a Second term in office voted at about 8,45am in the morning.
He commended the process describing it as seamless while also commending the Independent National Electoral Commission for the seeming improvement in the process.
He also raised his concerns about voter intimidation in some parts of the State calling on Security agencies to ensure that purveyors of violence are dealt with decisively.
There has been no report of incidents yet as of the time of this report in any of the States with accreditation and Voting going on simultaneously across polling units.
