Young Nigerians in leadership positions must show good examples of how leaders can be impactful to their society to achieve a society where Youth see themselves as agents of change.
These were the words of the Speaker of Oyo state house of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin at a youth summit held recently in Ibadan.
The impact of youth on a country’s growth cannot be overlooked, as they constitute a significant demography and play a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s present and future.
This involves the belief that significant achievements can be realized when young individuals position themselves for leadership roles and drive change across various sectors.
It is against this backdrop that these young individuals are gathered at this forum, encouraging their fellow youths to be part of the change they desire by opening their minds to creativity.
The summit, entitled “The Creative Mind of a Leader,” was attended by the Oyo State Assembly Speaker, who charged young leaders in power to make impacts and serve as role models to upcoming generations.
Organizers of this event hold the belief that unless young individuals actively strive to make a difference, their societal impacts will go unnoticed.
