Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has mourned the passing of the former Governor of the state Chukwuemeka Ezeife.
News of Mr Chukwuemeka’s death was announced by his son Rob Ezeife. He revealed that he died at the Federal Medical Hospital Abuja.
He was aged 85 years.
Governor Soludo described Ezeife as an illustrious son of the Ezeife Dynasty of Igbo-Ukwu community, a titan in the annals of the state and Nigeria.
This was disclosed in a Statement signed by Soludo.
He added that Dr. Ezeife’s visionary leadership roles, his gentle demeanour and thoughtful counsel endeared them all, regardless of their political affiliation.
He described him as a bridge-builder, a voice of reason, a tireless advocate for the unity, progress of Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole.
Governor SOLUDO condoled the family and the state to find solace in the knowledge that his legacy of service, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the common good will continue to inspire them all.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace.
