Scores of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo West local government area of Ondo state have defected to the camp of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Receiving the defectors, the state chairman of the party, Ade Adetimehin, said this is a testimony that there is no more opposition parties in the state.
The camp of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ondo State has been further depleted, with the defection of these politicians.
The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC is again the beneficiary of the wave of defection rocking the PDP across the eighteen local government areas of the state.
This time, a former member of the State House of Assembly, Ade Adeniyi led scores of his supporters to pitch their tents with the APC.
They were received by the state Chairman of the APC, Ade Adetimehin, who is working tirelessly to make the party stronger.
Adetimehin said recent events have clearly shown that the PDP is gradually going into extinction.
He described the leader of the defectors as a thorough bred politician, who will add value to the APC.
The leader of the defectors said they joined the APC because of the party’s track record.
With the state governorship election approaching, the political climate is witnessing alignment and realignment by politicians.
