The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed two officers for professional misconducts.The officers were dismissed for armed robbery, official corruption and illegal duty.
According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of Zone 2, SP. Umma Tunni
Ayuba, the Assistant Inspector General of
Police, AIG Ari Muhammed Ali has ordered the dismissal of AP No. 279495 Inspector Sunday Adetoye and AP No. 223521 Inspector
Ogunleye Stephen attached to the Zonal Command Headquarters, Onikan Lagos for offences ranging from of armed robbery, official corruption and illegal duty.
They were said to driven to the residence of one Taiwo Monsuru and one Akintola Sunday
at Obada-Oko in Ogun State; in company of three other Vigilante armed with 2 SMG rifles and live ammunition, conducted a search without a warrant and made away with 5 iPhones, 1 Samsung smartphone, 1 Tecno
smartphone, and 2 laptop computers.
Meanwhile, one ASP Ajayi Victor who the statement says led illegal operation is said to be at large.
The AlG has directed that the dismissed
officers including the civilians be charged to
court.
