The Rivers State House of Assembly has voted to override Governor Siminalayi Fubara following his decision to withhold his assent to 4 controversial laws passed by the lawmakers.
At the resumed plenary, the Speaker, Martin Amaewhule confirmed receipt of letters from the Governor in which he declined accent to all 4 laws.
After that all lawmakers spoke in support of vetoing the Governor quoting section 100 subsections 3 and 5 of the 1999 Constiution.
