Residents of Kaduna State braved the cold on Saturday to vote in large numbers for the rerun elections in Makera constituency.
Rerun elections are taking place concurrently in seven of the 23 local government areas, including Chikun, Igabi, Kachia, Kaduna South, Kagarko, Kudan, and Kauru.
A significant number of security people are present at polling stations to ensure a secure and orderly voting procedure.
Notably, there appears to be complete compliance with the vehicular movement limitations, as only a few vehicles are seen on the roads.
At Barnawa Polling Unit 005, where 750 registered voters are scheduled to vote, party agents and locals affirm the prompt arrival of voting materials, which has contributed to a smooth procedure thus far.
