The Burial Ceremony For Officers and men of the Nigerian Army killed by Unknown persons in the Okuama community of Delta State has commenced at the National Cemetery, Gudu in Abuja.
The Ceremony commenced immediately after the arrival of the Special Guest of Honour, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ministers, Governors and the National Assembly leadership are at the Cemetery with the Governors Of Bayelsa, Delta, Kogi and Kaduna States also present.
Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa and the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja and Other Service Chiefs are also present representing the Military Leadership.
It will be recalled that a group of unknown person had killed 16 Officers and Men of the Nigerian Army who were on a peacekeeping mission to stop a communal clash between Okuama and Okoloba Communities.
They were ambushed and killed with the Military vowing to fish out the killers.
The President also said the late Officers and Men will be conferred with National Honours describing them as heroes.
