Spokesperson of the Zamfara police Command ASP. Yazid Abubakar says the bandits stormed the area with the intent to abduct a businessman known as Ashiru who resisted the kidnapping attempt and was shot dead by the armed men.
The terrorists according to the police killed Mr. Ashiru, and whisked away his wife and male neighbour to an unknown destination
ASP Yazid adds that no worshipper was kidnapped nor attacked, but rushed out of the mosque due to multiple gunshot fired randomly by the bandits.
