Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has distributed food items to One Thousand Two Persons With Disabilities and Vulnerable groups in Nasarawa State.
This distribution which was flagged off at the Government House in Lafia, is in line with the Food Outreach Scheme of the Renewed Hope Initiative.
The First Lady who is represented by the Wife of the Vice President is in the state to officially flag off the Food Outreach Scheme of the Renewed Hope Initiative.
The Initiative is targeted at Persons With Disabilities and indigent persons in the state.
The aim is to curb hunger and cushion the effect of hardship occasioned by the removal fuel subsidy and the dwindling state of the economy.
The Nasarawa State Government is certain that the food items would go a long way to ameliorate the sufferings of the vulnerable.
The items distributed are rice, pastas, wheat flour and the beneficiaries are appreciative of this gesture.
The Scheme will be replicated across the country and it is expected to be a continuous outreach.
