Imo State government has expressed its commitment to provide logistical support to the Nigerian police force in its effort to combat criminals in the State.
Governor Hope Uzodinma gave the assurance while handing over police operational vehicles and armoured personnel carriers refurbished by the state government to enhance security operations in the State.

But through the collaborative efforts of security agencies and government, the State can now enjoy relative peace.
As part of efforts to ensure smooth operation of security agencies in fighting criminals and other Criminality confronting the State, Governor Uzodinma approved the refurbishing of all grounded operational vehicles of the police to aid their smooth operations.
For the Commissioner of police in the State, the gesture by the Governor will further boost the command’s unwavering commitment in restoring peace in all parts of Imo State.
The refurbished vehicles which gulped about half a billion naira, will be strategically deployed across all police divisions and area commands in the State for round-the-clock visibility policing and night patrol to enhance safety.
