Ogun State Government has confirmed 25 suspected cases of cholera with 9 confirmed and 1 death.
The Commissioner for Health in the State, Tomi Coker made this known during a press conference held in Abeokuta.
She said the cases were recorded in seven local governments areas.
The Commissioner added that 8 out for the 9 confirmed cases have travel history to Lagos and 6 of them reported to have taken tiger nuts drink while in Lagos.
The Commissioner said the state has put measures in place for treatment across the 20 local government areas in the state and warned residents to be conscious not what they eat or drink.
She appealed to people to create awareness among their families and wash their hands and fruits before they eat it.
The Commissioner also stated that the state kicks against open dedication and will not hesitate to deal with whoever caught violating the order.
