Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State says the state government has extended its collaboration with Sterling Global’s management over the company’s oil exploration and operations in Imo state.
Speaking shortly after a closed door meeting with the management of Sterling global oil company at the government house in Owerri the Imo state capital, the Governor disclosed that over the years, the oil Company has been engaging in sharp practices which has shortchanged the state and the federal government.
He noted also that the company was running its operations contrary to laid down rules and regulations in terms of tax payment and non-compliance to environmental rules.
