Senators have urged Sub-national Governments to put in place proactive measures to forestall flood disasters ravaging some parts of the Country.
The lawmakers have also cautioned Nigerians to be more responsible in protecting the environment and to ensure more climate friendly practices to protect lives and Properties.
The Lawmakers are worried that despite early warnings from the Nigerian Meteorological Agency , the country still recorded a significant amount of losses to flood disasters.

In separate interviews with TVC NEWS , the lawmakers called for a multi Stakeholder approach towards addressing the problems as well as intensify sensitization efforts to ensure citizens are better managers of the Environment
