The House of Representatives has announced the death of a member from Oyo State, Olaide Akinremi, popularly called Jagaban.
Olaide Akinremi died Wednesday morning after a brief illness.
He was aged 51 years.
He represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress and served as Chairman, House Committee on Science Research Institutions.
The late politician was described by House leadership as a prominent and high-ranking member.
“Until his demise, the Oyo legislator was a dedicated public servant known for his unwavering commitment to the development of his constituency and the country at large”.
The House says his passion for service, coupled with his deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of his people, will be sorely missed.
