Zamfara state Governor, Dauda Lawal has approved the construction of Ultra-Modern Central Motor Park in Gusau as part of the ongoing Urban Renewal project in the state
The Ultra-modern Central Motor Park was awarded at the cost of N4,854,135,954.53.
The governor gave the approval at an extraordinary executive council meeting held at the Council Chamber, government house, Gusau.
A statement by the spokesperson for the governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, says the council also deliberated on other vital issues beneficial to the State
The statement adds that the construction of the park is a crucial component of the state’s Urban Renewal Program and will significantly enhance the state’s transport infrastructure and service delivery
The project is to be jointly funded by the Ministry for Local Government and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Tourism, while the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure will supervise the project.
The Gusau Ultra-modern Central Motor Park will have features such as offices for government and union officials, establishment of a fire service station, construction of guest lodges for travellers, a clinic, a police outpost, a warehouse, a POS centre, and a motor mechanical centre and car wash.
