Members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities, Federal University Gashua, chapter have staged a peaceful protest to demand the payment of their withheld four-month salaries by the Federal Government.
They are appealing to President Bola Tinubu to come to their aid.
Members of senior staff Association of Nigeria universities, and Non Academic Staff Union universities of Federal University Gashua, Yobe state converged.
Armed with placards, Chanting solidarity songs, these protester are demanding what they claim is their right: withheld four months salary.
The peaceful protest is within and outside the university premises
The look in their faces suggest how disappointed they are, and they were quick to share their thoughts with newsmen
The leadership of the Non Academic staff Union, lament that the withholding of their salaries by the federal government has brought untold hardship on them and their families
They are appealing to the government to reach an agreement with the two unions in other to halt the proposed shut down of university in the coming days.
