The Benue State Universal basic education board has warned successfully project bidders that the board will not condone laxity and indolent from contractors handling state projects.
The chairman of the Board, Grace Adagba, gave the warning during the bids opening ceremony for the utilisation of UBEC / SUBEB matching grants held in Makurdi, the Benue state capital.
This event is made possible through the collaborative effort of the federal government through the universal basic education commission and Benue State government.
It is to enable Benue Subeb carry out projects such as construction/Rehabilitation of classroom blocks, hostels, digital and non-digital libraries, and more.
As part of Subeb drive to entrench accountability, effectiveness and transparency in the procurement and contract award procedures.
Partners and supervisors used the avenue to advice bidders on maintaining integrity.
The Ministry of education and knowledge management spoke on its supervisory role for the implementation of the UBEC programme in the state.
Bidders are assured of fairness as the bid will be open in full and only competent companies will be selected for awards of the contracts.
