The Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, has thanked Abia residents for heeding to his plea not to join the protest.
He stated this at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Aba.
Govenor Otti had appealed to the people of Abia not to join the protest when he received the Labour party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
He says though he recognises that things are difficult, his plea was that they can always sit down to discuss issues.
The Governor thanked the church for their support and urged them to always pray for him and the government.
He also announced to the delight of the congregants that school road, in Aba, which is in a bad condition, would soon be fixed.
