The member representing Kaura Namoda/Birni Magaji Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Aminu Sani Jaji has commenced empowerment of 3,890 persons with fifty thousand naira each.
230 persons have so far received their empowerment funds, which is the first phase of the scheme and the program is expected to last for three months.
Reps. Member Sani Jaji had last week Inaugurated the committee saddled with the responsibility to ensure judicious distribution of the funds to deserving beneficiaries.
Mohammed Umar, a former chairman of Birnin Magaji Local Government is appointed the Committee chairman and Mansur Khalifa Kaura is to serve as the Secretary and others as members.
A press statement signed by the secretary of the Committee Mansur Khalifa Kaura said the move is to empower some of the constituents to cushion the economic hardship many are faced with especially in rural areas.
Each of the beneficiary according to the statement is expected to be empowered with fifty thousand naira to boost his/her small businesses.
Aminu Sani Jaji who is currently the chairman of the House of Representatives committee on Ecological fund has been assisting residents of Zamfara state in different sectors ranging from Scholarship to study within and outside the country, supply of fertilizer and other farming inputs to farmers, empowering SMSEs, Health facilities among others.
Mansur Khalifa also enjoin the beneficiaries to take advantage of the scheme and judicious use of the funds to better their lives.
He further call on cooperate organizations and well to do individuals to copy from the lawmaker, Sani Jaji and always extend hands of love to the poor, vulnerable and those in need to better their lives.
