Governor of Akwa Ibom State Umo Eno has assured the management of the University of Uyo that the State government will continue to support and partner with the institution to further national development.
He stated this during a courtesy visit by the newly-constituted Governing Council of the University led by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Professor Zubairu Tajo Abdallah at the government house in Uyo.
Governor Eno stated that the University admits many Akwa Ibom indigenes, thus the state government will not hesitate to provide the required assistance for the institution’s progress.
The Governor advised the Pro-Chancellor to use his good office to bring more development to the institution.
