Residents of Dandume town in Katsina State backed by police operatives have successfully rescued four women and one child from armed bandits who launched a nighttime attack on the community.
The bandits abducted seven women and two children before fleeing into the forest.
The act infuriated the determined residents, backed by the police operatives, they pursued the kidnappers, engaging them in a fierce gun battle.
After hours of intense fighting, four women and one child were rescued.

A brave mobile police officer however lost his life in the battle between the residents backed by the Police and the Bandits.
