The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited says the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline project is now at the stage of land acquisition and resettlement.
This was disclosed by the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL at the Economic Community of West Africa State Inter-Ministerial Meeting of the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline Project in Abuja.
The African Atlantic Gas Pipeline also known as the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline, is a major energy project that aims to transport natural gas from Nigeria to Morocco along the West African coast.
The project is set to cross 13 African countries, delivering natural gas to numerous West African nations and providing a new route for gas exports to Europe.

The project which is estimated to cost $21 billion was initiated by Morocco and Nigeria in 2016.
At this ECOWAS Inter-Ministerial Meeting of the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline Project the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited gave a breakdown on the level of the project.
Declaring the meeting open, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Gas says the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline, spanning from Nigeria through multiple ECOWAS countries to Morocco, is expected to unlock new markets and bolster energy security throughout the region.
The meeting is convened with a focus on the strategic institutional documents, each pivotal to regional cooperation and the advancement of the hydrocarbon sector.
