The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has urged the Federal Government to prioritise business-friendly policies in the 2025 budget to boost economic growth and stability.
In his Christmas speech in Abuja, ACCI President Dr. Emeka Obegolu emphasised the importance of legislation that address the difficulties that businesses confront in the country.
Dr. Obegolu identified some of the issues as access to inexpensive financing, infrastructural development, and tax incentives to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.
He also expressed concern over the recent stampedes during palliative distributions in Anambra, Oyo, and Abuja, which led to the loss of lives.

He described the instances as preventable and advocated for enhanced processes to assure beneficiaries’ safety and dignity in future distributions.
Obegolu also sent heartfelt welcomes to all Nigerians and chamber members, praising their tenacity in the face of economic problems.
He urged the business community to be steadfast and positive about 2025, stating that there are chances for growth and partnership to drive economic prosperity.
