The Joint Committees of the Senate and House of Representatives will begin meeting with heads of Federal Ministries Department and Agencies of Government on the 7th of January next year, 2025 , for their budget Defence.
The Senate’s Spokesperson, Yemi Adaramodu disclosed this to Journalists in Abuja .
The senate spokesman also disclosed that the Presentation of the Report by the appropriations Committee which will consist of compilations and recommendations from subcommittees will be presented on the 31st of January 2025 .
Recall that President Tinubu had laid the 2025 appropriation Bill before a Joint session of the National Assembly on the 18th of December.
The 2025 appropriations bill had also scaled second reading in both chambers of the National Assembly after an extensive debate .
Both Chambers of the National Assembly are currently on recess to celebrate Christmas and they are expected to officially resume plenary on the 14th of January 2025
