Ogun state government has reaffirms its commitment towards deepening initiatives and reforms in the critical sectors of the state economy, towards ensuring ease of doing business and to attract more investments in the 2025 fiscal year.
In order to facilitate socio-economic growth and development in Ogun State, the state government says its embarking on reforms in the critical sector of the economy and consolidate on the achievements of the past to make the state better.
The Commissioner for finance who is also the Chief Economic adviser to the Governor of the state, Dapo Okubadejo made this known during the highlights and breakdown of the 2025 approved budget of the state, held at the press centre, Abeokuta.
He says Education, Healthcare delivery, security, Agriculture and roads infrastructure will take the centre stage
He assured investors of favourable policies and reforms that will support their investments in the state.
Giving an insight into the total budget of N1.5 Trillion, the state commissioner for Budget and Planning says capital expenditure and recurrent stand at N600 and N400 billion respectively, with N194 billion representing 18.4% expected from Internally generated revenue
The Commissioner of education science and Technology and Commissioner for Health says the government is building 12 mega classrooms for ICT development in the four zones of the state, and the government is focusing more on healthcare delivery.
Other government officials in attendance assured residents of transparency and accountability in the fiscal year and called for support and understanding of the people.
