Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has arrived the Lekki, Lagos home of former Afenifere Chieftain, Ayo Adeebanjo, for a condolence visit on his death.
The Former Vice President was accompanied by dignitaries including the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 Elections in Lagos State, Olajide Adediran.
Chief Ayo Adebanjo was a major backer of the former Vice President during his run against President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 elections.
The Former Vice President described the late, Ayo Adebanjo, as a fearless freedom fighter and a true patriot who deeply believed in Nigeria’s unity.
Atiku said Adebanjo’s passing is a great loss, particularly because of the principles he stood for throughout his life.
“Adebanjo was a courageous advocate for justice and unity. His legacy will be remembered and cherished,” Atiku said.
