The Oyo/Osun Customs Service has revealed that it has significantly reduced the evasion of tax through the adoption of technology to monitor tax activities within its jurisdiction.
The Area Controller of the Command Joseph Adelaja made this known during a press conference in Ibadan, Oyo state.
He revealed that the command has generated over 2billion revenue in the month of February, adding that over 165 million of seizures have been made within 2 weeks of assuming office as the area comptroller.
The seized consignments include foreign rice, second hand clothing, premium motor spirits and used tyres.
