The Rivers State House of Assembly has issued a warrant of arrest for the Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, Adolphus Enebeni and other commissioners.
This follows the failure of the officials to appear before the lawmakers at the expiration of the second ultimatum given to them.
The House says there is need for the RSIEC officials to answer questions about their conduct in office especially as it relates to the rescheduled Local Government election.
But in a dramatic twist 3 of the commissioners appeared before the house announcing that they had resigned their appointment with the Commission.
The lawmakers resumed plenary despite reports that Governor Siminalayi Fubara had invited them to a meeting at the Government House.
