The Oyo State Government has begun the payment of bursary awards to students of Oyo State.
The initiative aims to provide scholarships and support to students, alleviating financial burdens and empowering them to excel in their academic pursuits.
The beneficiaries of this initiative totalling about 2,950, are extraction in Law Schools, Medical Schools, Aviation Schools and final year students of universities and polytechnics across the country.
They were drawn from a pool of about 3,000 registrants, having met the criteria set for the award.
The students are expected to utilise the money to cater for their educational needs which include tuition fees, research purpose and purchase of textbooks.
The initiative is also targeted at empowering indigent undergraduates students who may be struggling to afford educational materials, tuition fees, and living expenses, hindering their ability to focus on studies.
The Oyo State Government’s bursary award initiative is a significant step towards supporting the educational pursuits of its indigent students.
