First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has distributed Professional Kits to Midwives in the South West.
At an event held at the International Culture and Events Centre in Akure, Ondo State capital, the First Lady presented an additional grant of N50 million to the wife of the Ondo state governor to support 1,000 women petty traders in the state.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was received by top government officials, politicians, and various women’s groups in the state.
Ten thousand professional kits, made up of Crocs and scrubs, were presented to midwives in the South West zone through the Renewed Hope Initiative Health Programme.
While flagging off the distribution of the kits, the First Lady said the gesture was made possible through the generous support of an anonymous global partner dedicated to improving health outcomes for citizens.
She said the Renewed Hope Initiative recognises that health professionals require not only skills and compassion, but also the right tools and equipment to encourage and support their work.
She added that the Initiative has provided targeted interventions in agriculture, economic empowerment, education, health, and social investment to improve the lives of families across Nigeria.
In his speech, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa said the Renewed Hope Initiative has assisted many women in the state through various interventions.
Others, including the Minister of State for Health, commended the First Lady for the initiative.
