The candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 28 2016 Edo state governorship election, Godwin Obaseki has vowed to make job creation his priority if elected.
The governorship hopeful made the vow at the popular Bob Izua Park on ring road, Benin City on Wednesday while addressing a crowd that hosted his campaign train.
It was a crowd reminiscent of a people who have a point to prove to their Special Guest, Godwin Obaseki who happens to be a son of a legendary Bini Chief in the neighborhood.
This high Chief, Osamede Adun that spoke on behalf of the people says the average Bini person turned out because he is confident that Mr Obaseki will fast track the development of Edo state if elected governor.
Chief Adun who spoke in Bini language also said that majority of them that know Mr Obaseki to his roots believed he will be accountable to Edo people when he becomes governor.
Mr Obaseki who seemed overwhelmed by the large turn out and demonstration of solidarity appealed to them to turn out en-masse as they did on Wednesday to vote for him on the 28th of September 2016.
He promised to meet their expectations when he becomes the governor.
Mr Obaseki was also hosted by APC faithful in Ikpoba Okhia Ward six and Zabayo youths and members of Drivers Welfare Association in Oredo local government area of the state.
They all promised to mobilise people to vote massively for him on election day.
