Egypt and Liverpool striker, Mohamed Sallah, has been named Africa’s best player for the second time in two years.
The Liverpool forward won the gong at the ongoing CAF Awards holding in Dakar, Senegal.

The CAF awards gather Africa’s finest footballers around the globe to Senegal to celebrate it’s players who have done well in 2018.
Nigeria’s Super Falcons won the women’s national team of the year at the CAF awards in Dakar, Senegal.
The Super falcons last year won the African women championship for a record 9th time after beating South Africa via penalties in the final of the championship held in Ghana.
Other nominees for the award are South Africa and Cameroon.
And for the first time, a non power house in African football, Mauritania emerged Africa’s men team of the year.
In other awards category, South Africa coach Desire Eliz beat Nigeria super falcons coach Thomas Denerby to win the best women’s coach of the year .
While Herve Renard of Morocco won the best men’s coach of the year ahead of Nigeria’s coach – Gernot Rohr.
