Leaders of youth organisations in Delta state say they will resist the relocation of the Nigerian Gas Processing and Transportation Company from Warri to Lagos. They held a peaceful protest against the company , and a meeting was immediately convened to address their concerns.
Ovieteme George reports that Youth leaders of Ijaw, Urhobo and Ndokwa ethnic nationalities marched to
the Nigeria Gas Processing And Transportation Company.
While chants of displeasure over purported relocation plans of the company endured, security agencies showed up to avert any breach of the peace.
An emergency meeting was convened by the company and the youth leaders with the Delta State Commissioner For Oil And Gas in attendance.
Another meeting will be convened to address outstanding issues concerning the fortunes of the company.
