Angola is expected to grow by 1.9 percent in 2019, after three consecutive years of recession.
The consultancy firm, IHS Markit says the prediction is based on the $3.7 billion deal signed late last year between the Government and the International Monetary Fund.
The agreement with the IMF will ease liquidity pressures on Angola’s economy in a short term.
IHS Markit noted that the diversification of the economy combined with the efforts to attract private investments can place the country on the path to sustainable growth.
Angola plans to achieve fiscal sustainability, decrease in inflation and promote flexible and stable exchange regime.
